- Q: How can I interact with my host family if I don’t speak Korean? A: Most families will be prepared with translation apps. We also provide a "Cheat Sheet" of AAC(Augmentative and Alternative Communication) for your stay in our diocese. This is a simple visual tool with icons and symbols representing common needs and wellness. Q: What is the plan for accommodations? A: "During the diocesan days held prior to World Youth Day (WYD), pilgrims will have the opportunity to experience various dioceses across Korea before joining the six-day festival in Seoul. Homestays have become a hallmark of the WYD experience, allowing international youth to gain a deeper understanding of the traditions and culture of Korean families. We are currently preparing to encourage Korean families to open their homes and hearts, and we are planning to match the participants with suitable host families.“
